Will LCD TV’s be much better than the plasma TV’s The new Bravia TV from Sony is here and now is in competition with the plasma televisions. March 24, 2012 at 4:16 am
The big question is can the LCD TV’s perform the job more effectively compared to plasma televisions when watching on the mega screens.
Up until now the response has always been a definite NO – but several things have changed.
The brand new Bravia Sony has landed and now challenges the plasma TV’s.
The latest Sony Bravia now offers excellent image quality and accompanies it with outstanding design quality.
It has a very specification that makes it future-proof with uncompromised connectivity, quality picture processing and full high-def support including the latest 1080p format. We haven’t seen a picture better at this price than you get with new Sony Bravia.
Most people are admirers of Sony’s fantastic sets.
It appears that there’s nothing which is particularly significant about the mat-gray trim and the slim-line speaker system, but attention to detail and quality finishing means that the new models oozes quality.
The compact design is comparatively lightweight, lending itself to being mounted on the wall, otherwise there’s a static stand option, but one key thing overlooked is a swiveling model which will give more flexibility when placing the television.
The connectivity incorporated are excellent, they come with both analogue and digital options.
HDMI digital video inputs allows you to connect to other high definition devices. You can also attach your computer which is ideal for work or play. You can therefore wire up to high definition devices including the likes of blue ray, DVD players, DVD players as well as High Def satellite TV receivers.
Scarts are also provided for conventional connections – both are RGB to ensure top notch results.
This means that you can use HDMI to play to video devices while scart connectivity can be used for recording functionality.
Features that are often overlooked ate the inputs for AV, these can best be used for short term connections such as games consoles or camcorder, as the quality can be fairly poor. You may also use the screen as a large monitor when attached to a PC or a media center and you may also take advantage of the PC’s audio input.
